This Payment Policy explains how you can pay for orders placed with M J Cronin at mjcronin.co.uk.
1. Accepted payment methods
We accept the following payment methods at checkout:

Credit and debit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro and other major cards supported by Shopify Payments

Shop Pay: Shopify's accelerated checkout, which securely saves your details for faster future orders
The payment options available to you are shown at checkout. We do not accept cash on delivery, cheques or bank transfers for online orders.
2. Currency
All prices on our website are shown and charged in British Pounds Sterling (GBP, £). Prices include VAT where applicable.
3. When you are charged
Your payment method is charged in full when you place your order. You will receive an order confirmation email once payment has been authorised.
4. Payment security
Our checkout is hosted by Shopify and protected with SSL encryption. Payments are processed by PCI DSS compliant payment providers. M J Cronin never sees or stores your full card number.
Your bank may ask you to confirm the payment using 3D Secure (for example, through your banking app or a one-time code). This is a standard fraud-prevention step under UK Strong Customer Authentication rules.
5. Declined payments
If a payment is declined, the order will not be processed. Please check your card details and billing address, or contact your card provider. You may also try a different payment method.
6. Order verification
To protect our customers, we may review orders flagged by our fraud screening. If we need more information, we will contact you by email. If an order cannot be verified, we will cancel it and issue a full refund to the original payment method.
7. Pricing errors
We work to keep prices accurate. If an item is listed at an incorrect price, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the option to continue at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
8. Refunds
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method. Please allow 5 to 10 business days for the funds to appear, depending on your card provider. See our Return and Refund Policy for full details.
